Mossy Possum Farms Sales Policy

Show Quality and Brood Quality Guarantee:

We guarantee show quality rabbits not to have any disqualifying traits.
Our definition of show quality is not simply a rabbit that has no disqualifications. We only
consider a rabbit show quality if it lacks any major faults that would prohibit it from placing well at a show.
We cannot guarantee how a rabbit will place at a show. We will give you a description of the rabbit to the
best of our knowledge and experience. We do not offer refunds based on a difference of opinion. It is always
best to see the rabbit hands on before completing any purchase.

Our definition of brood quality is a rabbit that may not necessarily do well on the table, and may in fact have a disqualification
including but not limited to lack of markings on a broken, ear length or weight, but has redeeming
qualities that make them an asset to a breeding herd.

We do not guarantee the ability of any rabbit to produce live young.
We will not knowingly sell any rabbit that does not reproduce, nor knowingly sell a rabbit that is a poor mother.
However, we cannot guarantee that in a new home or under new circumstances that a rabbit will reproduce successfully.
We offer no refund or replacement for lack of reproduction for any reason.
We also cannot guarantee a buck's ability to reproduce.

Selling Bred Does:

At this time we are not selling bred does in any breed. Thank you for your understanding.

Pet Quality Guarantee:

We do not guarantee personality, or the ability to tame or handle any of the rabbits.
We will not place a rabbit with any signs of aggression in any pet home. However, we cannot
guarantee that in a new home or under new circumstances that a rabbit will not develop aggressive behaviors.
We offer no refund or replacement for aggressive behaviors, bad habits, such as chewing furniture or cords,
or the lack of the rabbit being a "good match" for the new owner. We will take the "pet" rabbit back
if the new owners choose not to keep them, however, transportation will be up to the buyer and
no refunds or replacements will be given.

We do not take pictures of pet quality rabbits and we do not ship pet quality rabbits.
Pet quality rabbits are only placed locally.

Deposits:

Rabbits can be placed on hold with a nonrefundable deposit of half the sale price. Deposits can be made via paypal, money order, or cash. The rabbit will be considered "pending" for 7 days awaiting deposit. Once deposit is received they will be marked "hold". If we do not receive the deposit within 7 days and/or other arrangements haven't been made, the rabbit will be released for sale. Feel free to inquire about rabbits marked pending, as sometimes sales fall through for various reasons.

One you have made a commitment to purchase from us we cannot refund your deposit simply because you have changed your mind.

Balance:

The balance owed must be paid in the form of cash, money order, or paypal at or before pick up/delivery.
The buyer (or buyer's appointed agent) must fully inspect the rabbit at the time of pickup before the sale
is finalized. The sale is finalized once the rabbit is paid for in full and the buyer (or buyer's appointed agent)
has taken possession of it.

Once the sale is finalized the rabbit is 100% real property of the buyer.

Pick Up, Shipping and Delivery:

Unless other arrangements are made, pick up must be completed within 2 weeks of deposit being received.
If other arrangements have not been made, and the rabbit is still here 14 days past the date of the deposit being received the sale will be void
and the deposit forfeited. We do not deliver rabbits and we do not meet halfway.
We will however gladly bring the rabbits to a show we are attending for pick up.
We will ship, but there is a minimum purchase of $400. Please understand that this is on top of the
shipping charges and vet charges. Shipping is weather permitting. Shipping charges include airfare, gas and toll fees,
cost of carrier and cups, vet checks, and health certificate.

We can work together with nearby rabbitries on combining shipments.
We do reserve the right to choose who we combine shipments with, so contact us prior to making any arrangements.
We will not be responsible for getting rabbits from other
rabbitries and/or shows or any pick up of rabbits for a combined shipment, or responsible for vet checks or any other costs
associated with combining a shipment.
The $400 minimum purchase to ship is only rabbits purchased from our rabbitry, and does
not include any other combined shipment purchases.

Mossy Possum Farms Guarantee:

We guarantee that the rabbit was healthy at the time of sale,
that they show no signs of disease, diarrhea, and/or nasal/eye discharge.

We cannot control what happens once the rabbit has left our care, including disease or death, including but not limited to,
abuse, neglect, extreme temperatures, malnourishment, improper housing which causes sickness or death, injury from other animals, exposure to
other illnesses and sicknesses via other animals during travel, shows, or at your residence.
We do not guarantee for any of these issues once the sale has been finalized.

Under no circumstances will we be responsible for any medical costs the rabbit may obtain after the sale.
Under no circumstances are we responsible for damage the rabbit may cause to personal property
or the any personal injury, such as biting or scratching.

Rabbits purchased through a third party, as opposed to being purchased from Mossy Possum Farms,
will under no circumstances be replaced, traded or guaranteed.

Name Policy:

All rabbits offered for sale have already been named, tattooed and entered in our records.
Under no circumstances will it be acceptable to alter the name of rabbits purchased.
We take great pride in our stock and have worked very hard to build our herd to what it is
and have earned the right for our stock to carry the Mossypossum prefix. Any rabbit sold here
that was bred at another rabbitry must retain their original breeder prefix and exact name given
to them by their original breeders. In our opinion, changing a prefix is a devious, unethical
act with the intent to deceive or mislead others.

In the unlikely event that a problem should arise with your new purchase, Mossy Possum Farms
reserves the right to waive our policy at our discretion; however, waiving any of these policies
does not constitute any additional or future waiver of these policies for any other parties.
These will be considered on a case by case basis.

We also reserve the right to cancel any sale at any time.
If a deposit has already been received, it will be returned if we decide to cancel the sale.
